Arrival at Your Massage Session
Please come 10-15 minutes early for your appointment. This gives you time to fill out paperwork (if you're a new client), change, and get ready for your treatment. Sessions are scheduled for specific times, so arriving early helps you have a relaxed experience. If you're late, your service might be shorter and you could still be charged for the original time.
Cancellation Policy and Fees
Your therapy time is reserved just for you. Please respect our scheduling policies by giving at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations will incur a 100% fee, and no-shows will be charged in full. This policy is in place to honor the time of both our clients and our staff. All services require a credit card or gift certificate to secure a reservation, but you will only be billed in the event of a cancellation.
Late Arrival Policy
Treatment sessions must start on time. I'm sorry if you're late, I may not be able to extend your appointment. In some cases, with enough notice and if our schedule permits, we may offer a partial or full appointment at our discretion. However, the original fee will still apply.
No Show Policy
Please call to cancel appointments to avoid charges for no-shows due to unexpected events.
Informed Consent
Before each massage, we'll discuss the treatment plan. At your first visit, you'll sign a consent form. Clients not seen for a year may also need to fill out this form.
Reservations
To secure your preferred appointment, book early and provide a credit card for reservation. Gift certificates can also hold appointments. I charge for cancellations based on the policy listed. Inform me of allergies, sensitivities, and pregnancy when scheduling.
Scope of Practice
I'm a licensed massage therapist who follows the American Massage Therapy Association's high standards. In my work, I use hands-on techniques to promote your health and well-being. I don't diagnose or prescribe, but I can refer you to a doctor or another healthcare provider if needed. My services are not a substitute for medical treatment. For any specific medical issues, please consult a doctor.
Respect for Client Needs and Boundaries
I'm happy to change the pressure, heat, and music, focus more on one area, or move to a different area if you want. You can keep on whatever clothes make you comfortable, say no to any techniques, or end the massage whenever you want. I'll always make sure you're covered up, with only the area getting massaged uncovered. I'll let you know which area I'm working on. There's never any okay for any sexual talk or behavior between you and me.
Confidentiality and Conversation
Your privacy is paramount. All client visits and conditions are kept confidential. I won't discuss your visit with anyone outside our staff without your permission. You can choose to remain quiet during the massage, and the conversation will follow your lead.
Existing and New Medical Conditions
As a client, you need to tell the massage therapist about any medical treatments you are receiving and get written permission from your doctor, chiropractor, or physical therapist to continue massages. You also need to keep the therapist updated about any changes in your health. If you're getting chemotherapy or radiation, you must provide a doctor's note stating that the doctor is aware of and approves the treatment. If you have any questions about this, please ask me.
Sick policy
If you're sick with a cold, flu, COVID-19, or any similar infection, please stay home and let us know to reschedule your appointment. You won't be penalized for canceling on the day. Make sure you're no longer contagious and follow CDC guidelines, including wearing a mask if needed. If I'm sick, I'll also cancel and reschedule appointments.
Inclement Weather Policy
In case of inclement weather, I'll decide if the office will open.
